Dream Academy Presents Multiple Personalities Disorder

Image courtesy of The Dream Academy Productions - www.dreamacademy.com.sg

Q: What's better than being a potato couch on Sunday evening?

A: Watching a great quality local production by local talents with great price and great sore throat due to the never ending laughters :-)

The Dream Academy Productions proudly presents "Multiple Personalities Disorder" starring one of the most talented actor in Singapore - Hossan Leong.

In the 1.5 hour (without any resting time), he has "suffered" more than 10 personalities starting from Ricky Martini, Julio the Sexual English Teacher, Share, Whitney Whoseturn, Kenny Rogered, Barry Moneylow, and even ... the most unexpected 6 Million Rupiah Man. So, what's all about?

It's parody about this civil servant name "Ng Wai Kum" (Don't ask me why his name is like that ya ...) who had a very important task - to attract foreign talent to Singapore and make them stay and contribute to the economy. So, his quests made him discovered so many interesting comments from the "foreign talents" such as:
  • James Bonded doesn't know that he needs to renew his license to kill even though he's not killing, if not he'll be fined.
  • Merlion (Singapore's trademark symbol. Mermaid body with Lion head) has sent a confused sign to some of the foreign talents as whether he should swim or crawl for his mode of transportation.
  • One of the guest even promised to give all the domestic workers 2 parachutes just in case they fell down while cleaning the windows. (alamak ....)
  • And the most hillarious and my favourite when "Richard Semens" was teaching his customised exercise for fellow Singaporeans who would like to get involved in the meet and greet with fellow citizens. One of the exercise is used when meeting any smelly hawkers, so the "shake hand and look away" will come in handy.
The reason I'm making the time to write about it right after I'm watching it because the show has just been extended due to popular demand until 10th Feb 2007. You can book it from Sistic. You really gotta check it out when you can. (I even met my boss there :p ...)

D.D.'s Ratings
9.99 out of 10 Diamonds
It's original.
It's super funny.
It's down to earth.
It's simply awesome!

So where does the 0.01 go? Well ... I just wish the show can be longer ... 1.5 hours really not enough larrrrrrrrrrr.

Selena!!! I want moreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :-)

Great job, guys! :-)

$10.10 to $1111 in Less than 5 Minutes?

You buy something for $10.10, and you get $1111 instantly. Would you want that?

:p .... I would like to say that "in my dream" but ... not really.
I can show you the prove that it did happen to my friend yesterday at .... Coffee Bean, Paragon.

Unfortunately, he was not able to cash out the $1111 as it's the mistake made by the cashier. Alamak .... no fun! :p .... But heck, it's still quite an interesting phenomenon, isn't it? ;p ... just that next time let's make sure the money is molest-able and not just mere on paper.

PS. Dominic, if you are reading this, hehe ... I do put it on my blog haha! It's too interesting lar ...

Crazy Horse

I am still thinking very hard whether I should write this post or not. But I guess I'll take the plunge, as it's not something pleasant, but better get it all out.

Read from the newspaper that the "Crazy Horse" was closing down. They are a bunch of naked ladies dancing and performing under the special effects of lightings and music. Their final show will be on the 31st of January 2007. So, thinking that if they closed, the only way for me to watch it will be in Paris, so I took the chance to go and watch it before they closed down. Oh ... what a horrific experience. And I believe most of the people who were there felt the same way, I can't believe there was actually a very long que half an hour before the show started just to enter the lounge.

If I do need to applaud, I'll applaud the following:

  1. Great talents. I believe the girls are great dancers. They can move really really well! But ... how can uncles2 in their 40s are also yawning????? -.- Faint ...
  2. Nice decor. Very tastefully done. It's lush and regal. Really love the interior unfortunately the interior can't sustain the business. If nude gals can't do it, how about a great interior. :( Sad ...

Anyway, I really tried hard to enjoy it. But the more I tried, the more yawns I got. Argh ... and hence I took a lot of photos of some nonsense stuffs (what's new ya ....) such as:

The Featured Wall

The Ceiling Light

The Chair

The Pyramid Light

The Naked Statue

And finally, what I called, The Nipple Lights.

I'm sorry, Crazy Horse. Now I really understand why you need to go. I think you need to modernize the music and choreography. If you can't even entertain the local men, don't talk about the women -.- some confused grannies were yawning non-stop (yup, old old grandmas were there too ... must have been forced by their daughters or relatives).

Do you know what's even better, sexier, hotter, and steamier?

This ...

How do I know? Even my female friends are woo-ed by it ... I wonder what it does to guys. I personally prefer Pussycat Dolls now and better watch their concert than watching mad horse next time though some of PCD's moves are pretty similar with those in Crazy Horse, but the sentiments it creates are heaven and hell.

Best & Cheap Indonesian Food in Singapore

Alright, enough of grieving. (Still miss my red lian ... but miss my Kiky more for sure). Eh ... I though I've just said enough of grieving and look at where I'm heading too. -.-

This time I'm going to talk about food!! Yeah! :)

I've been introduced to this place by my friend "Miau..." -.- Don't ask me how come she's called Miau ... (yeah, as in Meow... like a cat). Her real name is Emi (not sure I spelled correctly though) and as any Indonesians, everyone will get some funny nick names. Mine? PLENTY! But, let's talk about the food, shall we. :p ... (Phew ...)

This place is at .... errr .... -.- .... WHERE???? -.- Wait ... I go see the map.

Alright, alright. I got it! It's the correct one! Here's the address:

S11 Cuppage Terrace
21, 23 & 27 Cuppage Road (where's the 25???)
For the map, you can click here.

Stall Name: Kantin "Aneka"
Location: Ground floor, first stall at the corner (it's outdoor)

Apologize for the dark dark photo. I was really trying to be discreet in taking it thennnnnnnnnnn .... my friend (whose face I put a smiley there as I'm not sure whether she minds I'm putting her face online), found out that I was acting weird. .... Kept standing far away from the stall, don't know doing what.

So, I was caught taking photos and even the stall keeper found out and they asked, so which TV station are we going to be featured in? Well ... well ... well ... HECK!! Thick-skinned-ly, for my beloved blog & faithful readers, I'll take this shameless risk. WAKAKA not to mention being called "kampungan" (villagers) by my friends too as I was busy snapping the pictures of the food.

HEY!!! -.- ... Yummy things must be shared, okay!

So, what's good there?
The following are my own personal favourite. I know my friends have more but ... these are the one suited to my own taste buds. They make me feel like I'm home. ;p

Contestant #1: Pempek

(Fish cake in spicy sweet sauce. You can choose to have bee hoon or noodle with it)

Contestant #2: Soto Betawi

I've nothing much to say about this dish. It's literally everyone's favourite. My friend can literally lick the bowl clean and the dish washer must be happy to have her as the customer. (Yeah, you've heard of this friend before. She's the same person that cleaned up that Ox Tongue's thingie in Macau :p)

Hope you enjoy them as much as my friends and I did.
